The gruff guardian tries to hide her own smile, she isn't as mean as she appears.

Tarik isn't quite as disagreeable as you might expect from a dragon with strong Fire genes, as well as some Night blood. He is more Day-like, in fact. His best friend is a Morning Glory Dragon, Lark by name. They have been together almost since hatching, and have had several adventures.
